About Me

I run a music blog called The Groove Grounds where I like to talk about small artists, vinyl records, doing album reviews and just chatting music in general. I'm a huge hip-hop head, but I'm into many different genres and artists, and I'm always looking for new stuff to check out, so you should totally tell me about your favorite artists.

I've felt encouraged to take more control over my web presence, data, and privacy after taking a Digital Marketing course. It really opened my eyes to how scary the modern day web can be. I'm sick of AI being shoved into everything and every day I'm starting to believe dead internet theory more and more, I just miss the internet being about people connecting with people. That's why I've been eager to join in on the revival of the personal web, as I transition through the process of regaining control of what's mine.

I love all kinds of artistic media, and am always trying to find more stuff to obsess over. I'm a huge movie fan, horror movies are probably my favorite genre. Some of my favorites are "Scott Pilgrim vs The World", "Coraline", "Ponyo", and "The Thing" (1982, not 2011). Edgar Wright is probably my favorite director. I'm always open to suggestions!
